    Good lord that was some surprising good data this morning. Now the market has to seriously wrestle the idea that the economy is doing OK and that tapering is on the way, but not this month I'm pretty certain.

    I agree that the economy is able to stand on its own at this point, and that is a negative for stock markets. But it will be difficult to take any Fed statements seriously, given the debacle that was seen in September, when early statements suggested tapering was on the way and then at the actual Fed meeting they actually hinted at the possibility of INCREASING stimulus.

    BOE kept their interest rates at a record low with positive outlooks for the years coming ahead, something to take GBP to further strength in the coming future..

    Speculative sentiment measures suggest that the market is heavily net short the GBP right now, and this is another indicator of potential strength. I just dont see it when we look at the actual GDP performances that have been seen in the last year and a half.
